Photographic Journeys With Professional Landscape and Travel Photographer Steve Walton

Photographic Journeys in the Faroe Islands with Steve Walton
Our 2019 Wild Light Photography Workshops in the Faroe Islands will take place from 22nd-26th February.  For the past five years I have held my Faroe Islands photographic journeys during either April or May and in 2019 we will be taking advantage of the dramatic light and winter weather conditions of the Faroe Islands during February for a true North Atlantic winter landscape photography experience!

The 2019 itinerary will follow the same format as my previous Wild Light Photography Workshops in the Faroe Islands.  We will be based at the very comfortable Hotel Foroyar in Torshavn, single occupancy accommodation for four nights with breakfasts is included in the cost.  Full details are on the website, groups are limited to four places only and bookings are being taken now. Please contact me for full details and booking information.

Changing weather and light
The Faroe Islands are unique.  Changeable weather patterns and light conditions, soaring mountains, sea cliffs and dramatic coastline landscapes of these incredible Islands are like no other. The Faroe Islands present endless possibilities for dedicated landscape photographers and in February 2019 you will have the opportunity to join me on a winter photography workshop to photograph these amazing Islands in their winter glory.

Our Wild Light Photography Workshops in the Faroe Islands are popular and available places are limited to a maximum of four participants.  Book your place now on a Wild Light Photography Workshop and join me on our next amazing photographic journeys in the Faroe Islands.

Photographic Journeys on the Isle of Harris and the Isle of Lewis with Steve Walton
My  Wild Light Photography Workshops on the Isles of Lewis and Harris  continue to be popular and we return again on 20th-26th November 2018 where we shall be based at the very comfortable Harris Hotel in Tarbert.  Five days of landscape and seascape photography, taking in  iconic locations at Luskentyre, Seilebost, Scarista, Borve, Huisnish, Uig, Reef, Callanish, Dun Carloway and many more on our workshop.  The Outer Hebrides boast some of the finest beaches in the world and world-renowned prehistoric sites at  Callanish on the Isle of Lewis.

Iconic and varied locations
We shall photograph sunrises and sunsets and dine well in the Harris Hotel restaurant later!  All locations on the itinerary are easily accessible and you will be transported to all locations for the duration of the workshop.  A maximum of four places are available on this Wild Light Photography Workshop in the Outer Hebrides during 20th-26th November 2018.

Frequent stormy weather at this time of year in the North Atlantic guarantees ever-changing light and sea conditions around the Isles of Harris & Lewis.  Sunrises and sunsets can be dramatic and the shorter daylight hours means that we can make the most of a more reasonable start or end to the day's photography at Callanish standing stones or one of the many glorious beaches.  I prefer to arrange my Wild Light Photography Workshops in the Outer Hebrides during late autumn and early or late winter.   There are fewer tourists around during these times and I usually find that we will have otherwise very popular and busy locations to ourselves at sunrise and sunset.

Wild Light Photography Tours and Workshops in 2019
The Faroe Islands and the Outer Hebrides workshops above are just two of our scheduled workshops for 2018-19.  In 2019-20, I shall be hosting photography tours, workshops and photographic journeys in Bhutan, Rajasthan, Ladakh, Norway and Iceland.  Please visit the website and subscribe to receive updates and advance news of Wild Light Photography Workshops.
